To enhance employees' awareness of fire safety and improve emergency response capabilities, Xiamen Juci Technology Co., Ltd. recently successfully organized a company-wide fire emergency drill. The exercise focused on two key practical components: emergency evacuation and fire extinguishing simulation.
Practical Drill, Orderly Evacuation
At 9:00 AM on December 18th, the drill commenced with the sounding of the fire alarm. Guided by safety officers, employees from all departments quickly evacuated along designated routes, moving in an orderly manner from various floors to the assigned assembly point.
The entire evacuation process was completed in under four minutes, with all staff safely arriving at the assembly area. Department heads promptly conducted headcounts and reported them, successfully concluding the evacuation phase. Company Safety Manager Mr. Zhu stated, "This evacuation was 20% more efficient than last year's, demonstrating the clear effectiveness of our routine safety training and familiarity with emergency procedures."
Firefighting Practice, Mastering Skills
Following the evacuation drill, all employees proceeded to the open area east of the company building to participate in fire extinguisher training and hands-on practice. Safety specialists provided on-site explanations of the structure, operating principles, usage methods, and precautions for dry powder fire extinguishers, followed by a standard demonstration.
Afterwards, employee representatives from each department took turns stepping forward to operate the extinguishers on simulated fire sources. Under professional guidance, employees quickly mastered the correct technique—"Lift, Pull, Aim, Squeeze."
This fire drill further tested the feasibility and effectiveness of the company's emergency preparedness plans, heightened employees' awareness of fire safety and their ability for self and mutual rescue, laying a solid foundation for workplace safety.
